|13876|Description|

The corporate profitability report is the Main P&L report for the company. It’s purpose is to present financials for the company at the Company, Office, GL Class and Department Level. You run the report so that any level can be used to generate one report. If you pick the 1 report per Office, then there will be one tab per office and when printed, there will be a page break per office. There will also be one tab for No Office (or what ever the selection is) so that transactions that fall into no specific office are shown. When added all together, they would equal the P&L for the company.
Display Options:
Single Range:
In this report, only two number columns are displayed. The amount for the range and the percentage of Sales column.
Comparative:
The comparative is similar to the single range, but just for two date ranges. The columns on this report are:
  • Amount Range 1: This is the actual number for the first date range
  • Percent of Sales 1: This is what percentage of sales this number is for range 1
  • Amount Range 2: This is the actual number for the second date range
  • Percent of Sales 2: This is what percentage of sales this number is for range 2
  • Difference: This column shows the difference between Range 1 and Range 2 as (Range 1 – Range 2)
1 Year Monthly:
This view is similar to the Single Range if it were performed for 12 consecutive months. The user enters the year and also selects a starting month. For each month, the amount and percentage of sales is shown.
Budget Comparison:
The budget comparison will run similar to the Comparative version except that the second range will come from the budget. The user must select a budget, a year and month to compare. On the month, they may also specify Entire year which would add the budgets for the 12 months together. It would also find any transactions specified for the entire year.
Accrual vs. Cash Basis:
The report may be run in either an Accrual or Cash basis.
Hide 0 Amounts:
This will hide any rows where all the amounts are 0.
Hide Subaccounts:
This will only show the summary GL Accounts and any accounts with no summary account.
